From the above it is evident that the one-dimensional off-resonance ROESY experiment has sensitivity advantages compared with the 2D-WATERGATE NOESY/ROESY experiments for studying hydration accessibility, at a molecular level, of peptide hormones where the problems of signal overlapping are relatively minor. However, selectivity of the 180o RE-BURP shaped pulse is very critical. We are currently investigating the 1D off-resonance ROE experiments in studying the solvation state of the small (~8%) but significant proportion of the cis isomer of Lys-vasopressin .
